Joe Mennonna

Joe began his career in music in elementary school, continuing through college at Yale University, where he graduated Scholar of the House in Music 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts. Much of his early professional career was recording for jingles and industrials and performing in rock bands and cabaret acts as a keyboardist, saxophonist and guitarist. He has performed and/or recorded with the TOM RUSH, DON MACLEAN, RICHIE HAVENS, JANIS IAN, DAVID BROMBERG, JOHN SEBASTIAN, MARIA MULDAUR, JESSE COLIN YOUNG, STEVE FORBERT, AL STEWART, MICKEY DOLENZ, BEN E. KING, PETER, PAUL AND MARY and JONATHAN EDWARDS. He has produced several albums for indy labels and has co-produced "DON'T CALL ME BUCKWHEAT" for RCA/BMG, and "SECRET OPERATIONS" for Ariola/BMG. His saxophone and keyboard solos have been featured on the albums of VANESSA WILLIAMS, MELBA MOORE, MELISSA MORGAN, JEAN CARNE, IAN GILLAN AND ROGER GLOVER,VANEESE THOMAS, MICHAEL COLINA, as well as many TV and radio jingles. He has scored for theater (The Acting Company's production of ROMEO AND JULIET and Stardust Hotel’s ENTER THE NIGHT) and has scored over 30 movie features and documentaries including NEW YORK'S FINEST, SENSATIONS, THE NAKED DETECTIVE, BAD BLOOD, THRILLED TO DEATH, CLEO AND LEO, ENRAPTURE, AFFAIRS OF THE HEART, UGRASHIMA TARO, A SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS, and has scored industrial presentations and/or performed live for IBM, COLGATE - PALMOLIVE, MCDONALDS, SONY, BULOVA, TOYOTA, FORD, LINCOLN-MERCURY, SHEARSON - PLOUGH, PIZZA HUT, MARS, CHEESEBOROUGH PONDS, AMERICAN EXPRESS, PFIZER, ALCON and ROHRER.
